Congregational Meeting called for February 10, 2008 at 11.30 a.m. The purpose of the meeting is to review our Annual Report, Finances for 2007 and the 2008 budget approved by the Session. We will also be considering a By-Law change [By-Laws As An Ecclesiastical Body-number 11. Nomination]. You will have available to you before the meeting the proposed change to the By-Laws and the current reading for the Nominations. On February 10th we are planning to have one worship service at 10.00 a.m. Please note this change of service on your calendar.

Schooners adult fellowship will be meeting Sunday, January 27th for food and fellowship at the home of Joyce Vanderpol at 12:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Souper Bowl of Caring - Feb. 3. Volunteers are needed to help collect money after church. Donations go to Open Gate Ministries.

Open Gate Soup Luncheon- Feb.6, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. For more information please call 591-0534. if you would like to donate soup or pie please see the signup sheet in the foyer, before Feb. 5.

Youth Mission Trip “Planning Meeting” for students, January 21 and 26 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Note from George Moranda-I did not know that people in our church family could keep a secret so long as all of you did for my birthday gala. I cannot thank you enough-especially Sherry White., Janelle Cochran, Charlotte Giese and daughter Peg who prepared all the food and decorations-for your being there and your cards and wishes. Thanks to Bill Giese and Greg Olson for the delightful music; Larry White, Chad Johnson and Lee Sadler for setting up and taking down tables and chairs; Elaine Sadler for her wonderful reading of testimonials and all the others who played a part in this “deception.” There were so many lies (white ones) told to me during the week preceding the party to make it the surprise that it was, I am wary of things told me now by Nancy, Peg, Sherry, Steve Musson and others.

The Sunday Morning Adult Discipleship Class is beginning a new series of lessons titled, Sharing Your Life Mission Every Day. The six sessions will equip you to talk about your experience with God in ways that seekers will understand. Everyone is welcome to join this small group study at 9:00 a.m. in the church library.
